Berry
Hill Recording Studio is situated in the Forest of Dean, 5 miles south
of
Monmouth, near the Welsh border, and for over 20 years was the private
recording facility of song writer/record producer John David - the most
successful Welsh songwriter since Ivor Novello. In 1998 he started
having a few local acts use the recording studio, and the word quickly
spread
about this state of the art, 800 sq. ft. professional recording studio
that had become available, and which offered exceptional value for
money. It has since become a favourite of beginners and pros alike.
Live acts especially, from 45 piece choirs, to folk groups, to full
ahead rock bands. They love the space and the live recording
facilities. We also have a selection of guitars, basses, sound modules
and samplers etc for use by visiting artists free of charge; tea and
coffee are also free.
Although the recording studio is still used mainly for John’s
writing
& production projects, and by some of the acts signed to his
record label - Javelin Records, we are always pleased to welcome any
artist to Berry Hill recording Studio where John personally engineers
everything
that is recorded here, and is always on hand for free help and advice.
Unless
the client wants otherwise, the finished mixes are mastered in-house to
Red Book standard, with all relevant commercial codes embedded.
We also master home produced CDs or albums recorded elswhere, to the
same high standard.
Berry
Hill Recording Studio is predominantly a music recording facility, but
we also do
Voice-overs, Talking books, Schools projects, Telephone menus, Jingles
etc. We also transfer old media to new, such as vinyl or tape to CD.
